Sound BarrierHello, my name is Elijah and I am sitting in class. It is 2:34pm, which means that I only have 41 minutes until 3:15pm, this is the time school finishes. All the other students are listening to the teacher, Miss Davis, who is young and kind looking. I am not listening, this is because I cannot listen- I am deaf. I do not know why I am deaf, but I do know that in two days I am having an operation that might make me able to hear. I look away from my interpreter for a second to watch my best friend beside me, her name is Cassie and I am in love with her.
